Directing a Scene from Act 3 of the The Crucible by Arthur Miller :: Essay on The Crucible

I exit be directing a scene from Act 3, of the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. The Crucible -Hello, my name is ...................................., and today Iwill be directing a scene from Act 3, of the play The Crucible byArthur Miller. Act 3 is in all likelihood the most interesting and importantacts of the play, and Im looking forward to writing it in the way Iperceive it. The scene Ive chosen is from when the girls enter the hail room, to when keep an eye on says he beleives Abigail a murderer. Ifeel this scene is full of tension, and many different twists whichwill make it fun to plan and direct. The scene starts with Cheever entering the court with SussannaWalcott, Mercy Lewis, Betty Parris and Abigail Williams. They arewearing dark grey dresses, slightly worn, with white aprons and hats. This is to array how Puritan ways were, as they beleived in wearingdull colurs to show their loyalty to God, and to show that they willnot party as they did not like anything out of the ordinary anddidnt even celebrate Christmas. They have power, and coffin nail accusehim of being involved in witchcraft if he does anything they do notlike.Danforth then walks up to them, and instructs them to sit you downchildren. He has a sense of ascendence in his voice and sayschildren because they are very precious and pure to him, but asweve seen in Act 1, Abigail is no t a child. She resents it whenpeople call her that, particularly Proctor, and replies how do you callme a child showing her anger and frustration of the label. However,Abigail will sit down as commanded and will not flinch becauseDanforth is of high superior, and holds her living in his hands. Thegirls sit on the left side of the room, furthest from the door, so
